Different from the main parameters of the good or bad carpets, doormats and kitchen rugs
1) lodging resistance
Lodging refers to the phenomenon that the thickness of carpet decreases under the action of static and dynamic load. Lodging resistance refers to the performance of carpets that are not easy to fall.
What does lodging resistance have to do with it?
- A) melting point of fiber
When a person walks on a carpet, or when an object is in contact with the carpet surface, it will be caused by friction and produce instantaneous high temperature, which will fall down. Therefore, the higher the melting point of the fiber, the better the lodging resistance of the carpet. On the contrary, the lower the melting point of the fiber, the worse the lodging resistance of the carpet. Compared with all kinds of carpets, acrylic carpet is the most subdued, so it has slowly withdrawn from the historical stage of carpet.
- B) resilience
That is to say, the elasticity of carpet velvet layer is measured, that is, the percentage of thickness loss of carpet under dynamic load. Resilience is related to the density and hardness of the fiber. Dense carpets generally do not fall, while less dense tufted carpets are more prone to lodging. The better the resilience of the fiber, the better the lodging resistance of the carpet. On the contrary, the worse the resilience of the fiber, the worse the lodging resistance of the carpet.
2) Colour fastness
Color fastness is the ability of carpets to be exposed to light, washing, and various cleaning agents to maintain their color. The highest color fastness is 6.
There are three kinds of color fastness:
(1) Colour fastness to light
(2) Colour fastness of dry grinding
(3) compared with wet grinding, polypropylene carpet was the worst.
With regard to dyeing:
Generally speaking, polychromatic blankets are made directly from colored yarns, while pure colored blankets are formed by dyeing after the preparation of blankets.
3) antistatic property
Antistatic property represents the electrostatic accumulation and discharge performance of chemical fiber carpet due to friction when it is used. Chemical fibers are easy to accumulate static electricity when they are not treated, and may discharge to a certain extent. On the one hand, electrostatic accumulation causes easy cleaning, on the other hand, discharge may cause harm to some occasions, such as the impact on the performance of the computer and so on. Explain in detail by material:
(a) Polypropylene:
It itself has antistatic properties.
- B) Nylon:
In the manufacturing process, antistatic carbon wire is added, and this method is permanent antistatic.
- C) Wool:
In the manufacturing process, the antistatic agent was sprayed, and the method obtained is temporary antistatic.
4) density, weight and pullout force of fluff
- B) the pile density of the carpet:
Can use the hand to touch the carpet, its product pile quality is high, the carpet surface density is full, such carpet elasticity, stampede resistance, wear resistance, comfortable and durable. Generally speaking, the higher the fluff, the heavier the velvet weight and the higher the grade. At present, the highest fluff in the world is 9CM, and the highest in China is 5CM.
- C) the weight of fluff has two parameters, conversion formula: 1 ounce / square yard = 34 g / square meter
- D) the pullout force of the fluff determines that the carpet is easy to lose hair, the greater the pullout force, the more difficult the carpet to lose hair, on the contrary, the smaller the pullout force, the easier the carpet to lose hair.
5) pollution resistance
Carpet pollution has two possibilities, one is dust, sand and other solid dirt, the other is solid or color liquid dirt, such as wine, seasoning, juice, ink and so on. Chemical fiber carpet has a strong dirt storage for solid dirt, that is, dust sand can be hidden at the bottom of the pile while the surface of the carpet is still clean as new. For liquid pollutants, especially colored liquid, due to the absorption of carpet fiber, the surface is easy to stain and color, which puts forward higher requirements for carpet maintenance, its use environment is also put forward restrictions, in poor maintenance of public buildings, residential kitchen and other floors are not suitable for the use of chemical fiber carpet. The pollution resistance and fouling resistance of chemical fiber carpet are mainly determined by the structure and properties of carpet fiber and the structure of carpet surface.
6) Wear resistance
The number of times the carpet is worn out under fixed pressure to reveal the backing. The wear resistance of carpet is related to the variety of raw materials and the thickness of carpet braiding. The thicker the carpet is, the more wear-resistant it is.
7) tolerance
Fire resistance is an important index of decorative materials. For chemical fiber carpets, where the combustion time is within 12 minutes, the diameter of the combustion area is in the
- "within 96 cm, the flame resistance is qualified. Compared with polypropylene carpet, the combustion resistance of polypropylene carpet is poor, and the fire resistance index of other carpets is not much.
8) bacterial resistance
Carpet as a ground covering, in the process of use, easy to be eroded by insects and bacteria and mildew and deterioration. Anyone who can tolerate the erosion of 8 kinds of common mold and 5 kinds of common bacteria without growing bacteria and mildew is considered qualified.
